The day you left I knew I would never be the same again The day you left my entire life changed  The day you left my heart shattered into millions of pieces The day you left I promised you I would be strong even on those days I felt the weakest The day you left the sky looked different because I knew you were up there The day you left I made a promise to myself that no matter how hard things got I would always remember to smile The day you left I reminded myself it was ok to cry and to be mad The day you left you took half of my heart with you The day you left was the hardest day of my life The day you left I knew I would never be the same again The day you left my entire world came crashing down The day you left will forever be etched in my memories

  That first time you hear those words that first time someone tells you, I'm sorry we did everything we could that first time you lose a loved one is never easy, it hits you hard, it knocks you right off your feet and takes your breath away. I'll never forget that first time I lost a loved one.  I was young and wasn't even sure of the grief stages or how to process what had just happened You see the thing about grief is no matter what age you first go through losing a loved one you still go through the motions, you still go through those stages. Grief is the price we pay for love. I've had my fair share of losing loved ones. Everyone handles the grieving process differently, the stages don't hit you in order. One day you can feel the depression stage and the next you can feel angry. This is our way of coping with what has happened. It's ok to go backwards in these stages, it's also ok to go through them for prolonged periods of time. There is no timeline on...
